I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Cheek and his staff are. For years, my brothers and I had tried to help my Mom overcome her fear of dentists. Her fear was so great that it prevented her from having even a check-up for more than 20 years! I scheduled an appointment for her to consult with Dr. Cheek, and before the end of that evening, they had taken x-rays and performed an important procedure she had long needed. His kind manner and gentle approach made her feel at ease for the first time. I am brought to tears everytime I think about it. I am forever grateful for what he did for her. But, I have to also give credit to the staff - it was a team effort. All are professional, kind, and obviously love what they do. I would recommend them to anyone. As for me, I enjoy each of my visits. Even when I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled, I was comfortable knowing I was in the best hands. If you are thinking of changing practices or looking in the area for the first time, please try this practice. You will be glad you did. Thank you, Dr. Cheek and Staff, for always greeting us with a smile and for making our visits stress free and comfortable.

Dr. Cheek is great! He and Lauren actually had to stop a couple of times during my 3-hour appointment to get fillings done, because they made me laugh so hard I couldn't keep my mouth open...I have never had that problem at a dentist's office before. Dr. Cheek and the rest of the staff are always friendly, and are really good about paying attention to what insurance will cover as well. I have definitely found my dentist in Raleigh.

Dr. Cheek and Dr. Adams are both great dentists. I have been going to this practice for 5+ years. They are always very professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I have had routine check ups, fillings, crowns, a wisdom tooth extracted, and most recently a root canal. They provide great service and really know the best techniques in dentistry. I completely trust them and would highly recommend this practice. They do a great job of working with their patients on a follow up plan especially if there may be pain after your procedure. They prescribe the appropriate pain medicine and work with you to make sure you are healing properly afterwards. I am so fortunate to have such a caring dentist office. Thank you for all you do.

I brought my Aunt in to Dr. Adams. She is so scared of dentists and very embarrassed to come in because her teeth were in such bad shape. She was immediately put at ease by all of the staff from the front office on back. They treated her with care and respect which made me so happy. She commented that no one looked funny at her or made her feel bad about how her teeth looked. I am thrilled that she is getting the treatment she needs now and has a lot more confidence in the way she looks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Adams or Dr. Cheek to anyone. They are both not only nice and kind but exceptional dentists!!!

I have been going to Dr. Adams since 1996 and have been very satisfied. The purpose of this visit was to discuss what likely happened on my bite and the options available to correct the situation. We agreed on a plan by the end of the visit. Dr. Adams always listens so he can understand the history of the problem and then he wants you to understand what he feels has happened along with his recommendation/s. This guy cares !

I don't know what I would do without the reminder service you recently implemented - THANK YOU. I have a very busy family and work schedule. The text messages reminding me of my upcoming visit has been so helpful. During my recent visit, I spent very little time waiting and the procedure was quick, painless, and simple. Typically, it seems that it takes hours to visit the dentist. I walked in, checked in, and within minutes I was finished. The surprising fact was that the office was very busy at the time. In addition, I've had a tooth that has been worked on by two other dentist. The unique chip on the tooth has always been a challenge for other dentist and myself. Dr. Adams fixed it about a year ago, and I've had no issues - thank God because it's been a pain. In addition to thanking God, please thank Dr. Adams. I highly recommend your practice to anyone and thank you so much.

Since moving to North Carolina 3 years ago I have been seeing Dr Adams. He is an excellent dentist and I would highly recommend him. Besides doing excellent work, he is friendly, prompt (I never wait more than 5 minutes before going in), and clearly explains what needs to be done. The hygienists also do an excellent job.

I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Drs. Adams and Cheek, as well as their staff, are very caring and personable. I especially like that they fully explain what they are doing (procedure-wise) and that they try to educate their patients as to the best dental practices. Their dentistry is state of the art. Additionally, they do not try to recommend unnecessary work be done. Overall, they provide excellent care for their patients. My husband, two young sons, and I all are patients and are very pleased with this practice.

The wait is never long. Ashleigh is my hygienist and she is always personable, professional, and extremely thorough. The front desk staff is absolutely great. Dr. Adams has a great rapport with my children and he takes time to answer and provide clear jargon-less answers to all questions.

I have been seeing Dr. Adams for a year after switching from another dentist who I felt was pushing (expensive) procedures at every appt. I have been really happy with the care I have received at Dr. Adam's office. He has been conservative in his treatment with me when possible and his bedside manner is friendly yet direct and knowledgeable. The Hygienists are also great--the cleanings are probably the most thorough I have had. I also don't have to wait long, if at all, to be brought back for my appointments. The staff at the check-out desk is also very friendly and willing to work through your insurance/payment questions. Very happy I switched dentists!

After many years of fearing the dentist Dr. Adams has eased them all. Upon entering the office you are greeted by the staff that creates a warm and friendly environment. I just recently had an Implant and Dr. Adams did an AWESOME job. I felt no pain or discomfort afterwards and the entire procedure was much easier than anticipated. Just had my tooth filled today at Dr. Adam's. I didn't feel a thing. You don't even feel the shots of novacain because he numbs your gums before giving you the shot. Terrific dentist especially if you're a wimp like I am about pain. Lisa Pros: No pain at all

At a recent appointment with Dr. Adams, I showed him a close-up picture I had taken of my "five-and-three-quarters" year old daughter's front teeth. Picture 2 adult teeth shoving in behind 4 baby teeth, only one of which was remotely loose (and my daughter had been proudly working that one for at lease 3 weeks). "Should I be concerned?" I recall asking Dr. Adams. The following week, my daughter was comfortably ensconced in the dentist chair, a little nervous but also excited about the potential Tooth-Fairy loot to come. After it was all over, I asked her to tell me, in her words, why the dentist had to pull all those teeth .... "Well, if only one baby tooth got pulled out, the two grown-up teeth would not have space to grow in and they would be crowded with the other baby teeth. So Dr. Adams said we should take out four baby teeth. When he put the "sleepy juice" in my mouth it felt like a little pinch. And it kind of felt like just a little pinch when he was pushing my teeth to get them loose to make them come out. Then they gave me a little box to put the teeth in. And then the Tooth-Fairy got the teeth out of the box and put the money into my tooth pillow. She brought me $4.00 which makes eighty nickels and that's a lot of money!" From the "mom" observation side, not a tear was shown or a cry heard. Bottom line - Mom was more worried about the process than she was. Oh, and Dr. Adams, she wanted me to tell you, "I love you, Dr. Adams" so clearly the child is far from traumatized ;-). Pros: There are plenty of dentists close to where we live near downtown Raleigh, but my entire extended family drives more than 20 minutes just to see Dr. Adams - he is good!

Dr. Cheek preformed an unexpected bone graft on my husband late Friday afternoon and prescribed a pain pill for him. He had never taken pain pills before and reacted badly to them, I mean badly! We had to rush him to the hospital on Saturday night. On the way to the hospital, I called Dr. Cheek on his cell phone - he actually gave me the number in case of an emergency! I kept Dr. Cheek informed through out the night of my husbands' progress.We brought him home later that night. At 7:30 Sunday morning, Dr. Cheek called to check up on him. My husband developed a low grade fever on Sunday which I alerted Dr. Cheek. HE called every 2 hours until the fever subsided late Sunday night. He was such a comfort for me, not to say what it meant to my husband. Doctor's like Dr. Cheek are a rare find and revered when we do. We are fortunate to have him taking care of our family and definitely recommend him to everyone. We have repeated this story often with "gasps" and words of disbelief that there is someone like him around. Cannot praise this practice enough!! Thank you Dr. Cheek for all you did and still do. Pros: A practice that treats their patients as people with genuine care and concern. Cons: N/A

This is my first written review. I typically do not look forward to dentist appointments however, the professional, respectable, hospitable and personable group at Dr. Craig Q. Adams office help make the necessary trips easier to comply with. On my last visit I had so much work done that Dr. Adams personally called my home later that evening to make sure all was well. Again I had lot of dental work done that day. I've never had a dentist to show this level of concern or commitment after I'd left the dentist office. As I thanked Dr. Adams then I thank he and his staff now. I still do not look forward to going to the dentist but if I have a dental need or concern there is no question; I am calling on Dr. Craig Q. Dr. Adams and Cheek's dental practice is like a flashback to the years when dentists really tried to make you feel like you were their only patient, very important, listening intently to what you have to say and making sure they understand fully what YOU want done with your mouth. The experience is as close to pleasurable as one can say about going to a dentist. It is nice that there are dentists in the world that still practice that "good ole day" protocol. Their practice is one like many of us remember as the days when dentists truly cared for their patients and worked in "their best interest". Hats off to this practice! Pros: Lots!!!! Who would have thought a visit to the dentist could be so stress free. The atmosphere is very relaxing, it is clean, and the staff are all very pleasant. In the past I have always hated the dentist and had panic attacks at my appointments but Dr. Adams did everything he could to make sure I would be comfortable. The two appointments I had for fillings were by far the best experiences I have ever had at the dentist. I have refferred friends and family to Dr. Adams.

I invested significant time (and money) with Dr. Adams. And it was well worth it! He implanted 7 teeth and "redid" my upper front teeth. I can now eat normally.
