ORAL SURGERY/IMPLANTS

Step 1: When a tooth is missing there are many replacement options. Many times one of the best options is a dental implant.

Step 2: A standard dental implant.

Step 3: The implant is placed in the bone and allowed to ossiointegrate for approximatelythree to four months. A healing cap is placed over the head of the implant to protect it.

Step 4: An abutment is attached to the implant, an impression is taken to make the final crown, and a temporary crown is placed.
Step 5: After color, fit, feel and look are just as the doctor and patient desires, the final crown is cemented permanently.
Step 6: Implants can be used inesthetic areas like the front teeth.
Step 7: They can replace teeth inthe same manner as a bridge, without relying on neighboring teeth.
Step 8: Implants can even be used to replace entire arches of teeth where dentures may have previously been the only option.
